A select group of WHS athletes competed in unseasonably warm conditions for early November at today's Frank Mooney Invitational, held at Wrentham Developmental Center. It was also windy, quite windy in fact. While these are not conditions conducive to a personal best time, there were many noteworthy races nonetheless by WHS athletes. Sofia Ciciarelli finished in the top 30 in the girls 9th grade 3k, and thus earned a medal for her efforts. Also running for the girls was Sasha Libenzon in the 10th grade girls race. For the boys, Matthew Tan led Edge Wheeler and Jayden Newland across the line in the 9th grade boys 3k, while Ben Caddoo, Zack Goldstein and Matthew Frank (in his final high school cross country race) raced the 11th-12th grade boys 5k.
