Dual Meet #2 vs. Weston at Burchard Field, 9/21/21

Meet Site: Burchard Field, 269 Concord Road Weston Ma

*NOTE: the meet is NOT held at Weston High School*

Booster bus time 3:20

We have access to one booster bus which can hold 13 team members. Two team parents have offered to take athletes to the meet, if six team members ride with these team parents we'll avoid having to make a trip back to and from and to Burchard Field before the meet in the booster bus. Masks must be worn on the booster bus and while riding in a team parent's vehicle.

Time Schedule:

4:30 JV race (boys and girls together) - Han, Mente, Finn Jay, Yu

Boys race to follow (no later than 5 PM in all likelihood)

Girls race after that (likely by 5:30)

Course Map:

• The course is 5k in length and consists of two loops. Due to work being done on the ball fields, the start and finish this year take place on the driveway and path next to the fields.
  • The course covers about 1.2k of grass, 3k of dirt trails/dirt road (with a few sections where there also is some gravel on the dirt), and 800m of asphalt (mostly sidewalk and a bit of the driveway which gives access to the parking lot). If you're wearing spiked shoes they should be fitted with blanks or 1/8" pyramids. The course is fairly flat. The athletes will run about 200 m across the grass fields before hitting the trails, 2 times a 2.4k loop in the trails, then a 200m finish back across the field
  • Trails are quite wide, should be no issues with passing except for one 40 meter stretch (which is run twice, near the mile and then at about 4k).
  • The JV course consists of one loop of the varsity course followed by a short loop in the fields north of the parking lot circling back to the start/finish area. Details will be provided on the course tour.
  •
